Barcode scanners are very easy to use - simply plug them into your PC in the same way you would with a keyboard or mouse device and then once the driver has loaded, you can scan a barcode. Barcode scanners replace manually typed keyboard entry and as you'd expect they are much faster and more accurate than using a keyboard. Scanned barcode data is sent to the PC via any of it's available ports - USB, PS2 or RS232.
